Loris Stefanuto

Short biography

Loris Stefanuto is an Italian percussionist and composer whose language moves across classical music, jazz, ethnic soundscapes, latin influences and improvisation, with a constant search for timbre between cultivated and popular traditions.

Graduated with highest honors in percussion, he collaborates with major Italian orchestral institutions and international artists. Since 1992 he has taught at Italian Conservatories; he is currently faculty at the "G. Nicolini" Conservatory in Piacenza.

Artistic Profile

Stefanuto's signature is the ability to move with ease across very distant repertoires — from the symphony orchestra to author jazz, from world music to latin grooves — delivering a personal, clean and lyrical sound.
